Initially registered as a sole trader in Dublin after graduating from the D.I.T. Dublin in 2002 gordon byrne design was set up as a multidisciplinary design firm to deliver creative commercial interior solutions and the development of new furniture designs and objects.
Gordon has since worked a senior designer / creative lead and head of design for leading award winning commercial interior design and architectural practice delivering award winning projects across all disciplines. Most notably the Fora Arnold House which is currently shortlisted for the Mixology awards 2021 and Essence project for Peldon Rose which was voted best designed office in the UK in the International Property awards 2015. His ‘simple’ products and 'heritage' furniture range were launched at the Tent exhibition for London Design Week in 2016 and featured in Elle Decoration in December and selected for sale in the design/makers exhibition in the new Design Museum in London in the same year.
Gordon’s furniture has featured in various design exhibitions in Dublin, London, Paris and Milan and interiors featured in countless publications and design blogs. In addition to developing a reputation as a cutting edge creative design studio Gordon has worked as creative lead, senior designer and creative director for a number of firms in Dublin and London including, Denton Associates, River Island. Peldon Rose. Jennings Design Studio. Inside-out Interiors. Blass design. Douglas Wallace Architects, The Interiors Group London. Reddy Architecture & Interiors. Area and most recently with Tetris UK.
